This third session of the PlanningMatters series on planning and housing is dedicated to the Housing Observatories. These are spatial planning tools that enable the centralisation and analysis of data relating to housing and the built environment.

How many homes are necessary in the coming years to keep pace with population growth? What proportion of new housing needs to be affordable?

The Habitat team at UrbaLyon will share its experience in Lyon and explain how the Partnership Housing Observatory has contributed to the territorial development of the Lyon metropolis since its creation, as well as to territorial governance and policy monitoring.
